I have been pleasantly surprised with today being as much fun as it was!
Even though I am far away from family and friends, I was able to have some fun with my fellow coworkers with some unexpected gifts, and then enjoy a meal with them as well. It was a nice piece of home. Then I was able to Skype with everyone back home, and even got to sit in on my wifes xmas present opening. It made me miss being back that much more, but I felt so lucky to be able to share it with everyone none the less!
My wife pointed out something very important though; thank goodness for the internet, eh!? If this had been 20 years ago my xmas experience here would be much different!
